New Vapour Recovery Stage II (VR2) Laws in NSW

From the 1st January 2017, the NSW state government has enforced new laws requiring the installation of VR2 equipment. This new law comes as an addition to the previous laws for VR2 forecourt equipment and is the final stage of the VR2 roll-out across the state of NSW. The new law applies to petrol stations located in the Sydney Metropolitan Area that sell more than 3.5ML of petrol per year. More details about these laws can be found on the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) website http://www.epa.nsw.gov.au/air/petrolvapour.htm.

In addition to these laws, an updated version (2016) of the Standards and Best Practice Guidelines for Vapour Recovery at Petrol Stations has been released by the state of NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA). A full version can be downloaded here.
